Missionaries

We are sent by God to represent him well and lead others to him.

Key Idea:  The Bible teaches that Jesus was sent by God to enter humanity so that all people, places, and things could be restored to a right relationship with God.  Jesus entered our world and worked, ate, interacted, and lived in such a way that those around him could see and experience what God was truly like. As disciples of Jesus we are sent in His image to live like him: as missionaries sent into our cities to represent Him and live as witnesses to the Gospel. We do this by living and proclaiming the Gospel in everyday life.

Key Characteristics:

· We are Christians because God sent Jesus as a missionary to us.

· We are by nature His ambassadors.

· We represent Him by proclaiming a message of reconciliation.

· We are missionaries to the location(s) God has appointed for us to live.
